JAD Nu School Sessions: (Original Music Sessions)
Jazz Ain't Dead prides itself on being on the forefront of taking jazz and its derivatives and making it acessible for the legions of maturing audiences born at the begininng of what is now known as the hip hop generation. The sounds of house, funk, and soul fused with an illustrous jazz sensibility performed by our top, hip and talented musicians, make a match made in heaven for maturing hip hop audiences. The Jazz Ain't Dead Nu School Sessions feature select dancers and all new and original music composed and arranged by members of the Jazz Ain't Dead group as well as other invited guest artists commissioned by Jazz Ain't Dead. All Nu School music sets can be performed in large concert venues or customized for smaller venues such as night clubs and galleries.

Jazz Ain't Dead Presents: The JAD Café is our set designed for smaller venues. Like the JAD Lounge, this set features intimate performances of our artists doing original songs composed exclusively for Jazz Ain't Dead and by our own Chris Rob and Teodross Avery, plus funky new arrangements of classic jazz, and top R&B covers re-imagined into a jazz-inspired sound. Please note that the JAD Café is not a full show like Standards on Steroids, Porgy & Bess, or Nu Soundz, Nu Grooves, but a low-key presentation with only two to four musicians and a select number of dancers. | JAZZ AIN'T DEAD Presents: Nu Soundz, Nu Grooves is our set featuring our dancers and original music by the Jazz Ain't Dead Family. No covers or jazz standards here... This is all new music written and arranged by our band or in collaboration with our very special friends. Series includes music performed by our very own Teodross Avery from his album, "Bridging the Gap" and "The Diva's Choice" and Chris Rob's latest release, "Mental Notes." |
